PA HIT Day 2019 Events
The Pennsylvania Healthcare IT Day (PA HIT Day) is a great opportunity for Pennsylvania HIMSS members to meet the legislators who help advocate, create, and advance policies around Healthcare IT (HIT) within the Commonwealth. Join the Pennsylvania HIMSS Chapters for a series of events scheduled for April 29th and April 30th, 2019 in recognition of PA HIT Day.
The events will kick-off with an Awards Ceremony on Monday evening April 29th, 2019 at Café Fresco in Downtown Harrisburg where awards will be presented to legislators and legislative staffers in recognition for their continuous support of HIT initiatives across the Commonwealth. Then on Tuesday April 30th members and volunteers from DVHIMSS, Central PA HIMSS, and Western PA HIMSS will visit state legislators to discuss and advocate for legislation that supports the progress of HIT initiatives in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
“Asks” for this year’s PA HIT Day include: telehealth, interoperable health records for students, and HIT workforce initiatives.
In case you can’t attend in-person, please register for Tuesday’s free PA HIT Day noontime webinar (below) for a live-from-the-Capitol update on our “Asks”, our meetings with the legislators, and other timely news.
