STUDENT MEMBERSHIP: In addition to providing educational opportunities and networking with professionals already in the healthcare information management field, students are eligible for annual scholarships provided by HIMSS Foundation. Three $5,000 scholarships are awarded annually, one each for undergraduates, Master’s and PhD candidates. Scholarships are awarded for academic excellence and the potential for future leadership as demonstrated by communication skills and participation in HIMSS activities. In addition to the scholarship, the winners receive an all-expense paid trip to the annual HIMSS Conference and Exhibition.
